CENTRO DE TECNOLOGÍA BIOMÉDICA PREFERED SKILLS - Skills in physical characterization of nanoconjugates. Particular interest in contrast agents for MR imaging and nanoparticles as markers for Magnetoencephalography. - Skills in biofunctionalization and synthesis of specific contrast agents. - Skills in laser modulation for physical characterization of nanoconjugates. - Previous experience with signal processing software packages will be positively considered. - Strong experience with MATLAB, for coding and testing new algorithms. Experience in C and C++ programming languages. - High level of English. - Previous experience in conferences and seminars will be positively considered. Major Duties and Responsibilities: - Collaborate in the analysis of the specificity of the nanoconjugates synthesized in AD transgenic animals, evaluation of their ability to cross the BBB. - Collaborate in the development of magnetic nanomarkers to optimize the signal relaxivity with MRI and MEG techniques will be developed. - Explore other applications of nanoparticles such as remote controlled release of therapeutic molecules - Draft, write, and edit scientific reports, papers, journal articles, and abstracts. - Discuss relevant insights about experimental results with Faculty and provide useful recommendations and analysis. Maintain an integral role in the laboratory's meetings, presentations, and publications. - Present information on research and laboratory work to others at laboratory meetings, journal clubs, and seminars. - Maintain currency in field through continuing education, literature and seminars. - Participate in establishing job requirements and goals; perform duties at the desired level of competency.
